Academic Rheumatologist

About the role

The Academic Rheumatologist position at CHI Health Clinic in Omaha, Nebraska, is a clinical practice position with the added responsibility of bedside teaching within a collaborative environment. This role involves contributing to the growth of the Rheumatology practice while engaging in meaningful patient care and medical education activities.

Responsibilities

• 95% outpatient practice
• Call: 1:3 for clinic calls and inpatient rounding
• Work 4.5 days per week
• Participate in a Vibrant Teaching Service doing grand rounds, board review lectures, and medical school lectures
• Perform ultrasound-guided procedures if desired
• Faculty appointment with Creighton University School of Medicine

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
• Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine Certification in Rheumatology
• Active or Eligible to obtain an unrestricted license in Nebraska
• DEA in good standing with no restrictions
• BLS
• A record of excellence in clinical care and education
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
