Physician Rheumatologist

About the role

As part of our Internal Medicine team, you will join three rheumatologists and a nurse practitioner in managing a combination of outpatient clinics, inpatient consults and field clinics throughout Alaska.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a combination of outpatient clinics, inpatient consults and field clinics throughout Alaska
  • Work closely with other specialists and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in research and education initiatives related to rheumatology

Requirements

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Rheumatology
  • Current license to practice medicine in Alaska
  • Experience working with Alaska Native and American Indian populations preferred

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritize tasks effectively

  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to adapt to a remote work environment

Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No afterhours call for clinic
