Academic Physician - MD/DO - Trauma Surgeon

About the Role

Seeking a fellowship-trained Trauma Surgeon to join a Level I Trauma Center team. The position involves providing comprehensive trauma and acute care surgery services, participating in call coverage, and engaging in teaching, research, and scholarly activities as part of an academic faculty. The role emphasizes collaboration with recognized faculty in a high-acuity, academic environment, and includes community outreach and educational involvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma and acute care services
• Participate in scheduled call coverage
• Contribute to teaching, research, and quality assurance
• Engage in community outreach and education programs

Requirements

• MD or DO degree with completion of General Surgery residency and Trauma/Critical Care fellowship
• Eligible for Missouri medical licensure; multi-state licensure preferred
• Board Certified/Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care
• Experience in an academic setting; commitment to teaching and research required
