About the role
The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is seeking an Academic Gynecologic Pathologist for a tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track position at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert diagnostic services in gynecologic pathology, including but not limited to endometrial, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary tumor boards to discuss and develop treatment plans for patients.
- Teach clinical residents and fellows in the School of Medicine, Graduate School, and Undergraduate School.
- Participate in research activities related to gynecologic pathology and contribute to the advancement of women's health research and care.
Requirements
- MD, DO, or equivalent degree.
- Board certification or board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology.
- Eligibility to obtain a medical license in North Carolina.
Qualifications
- Fellowship training and/or expertise in Gynecologic Pathology preferred.
- Willingness to provide additional coverage in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology and/or Cytopathology.
Skills
Excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, and proficiency in clinical and research settings are essential.
