Academic Surgical Pathologist

Thomas Jefferson University, Sidney Kimmel Medical College, Department of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology is seeking a board-certified, full-time faculty member at the Assistant/Associate Professor level with subspecialty fellowship training in Gastrointestinal, Pancreas and Liver Pathology. This position is available in either the Clinical Scholar track or Clinical Educator track, based on the candidate’s training, experience, and academic record.

About the Role

  • Clinical sign-out duties in GI/Hepatobiliary/Pancreas subspecialty
  • Additional areas of interest/training (e.g., breast, ENT, and soft tissue pathology) are highly desirable
  • Participation in resident training activities and clinical conferences
  • Opportunities to pursue independent and/or translational research within the department and across departments
  • Development of specialized expertise is strongly encouraged

Medical licensure in Pennsylvania is required. The department has an ACGME-accredited residency program and subspecialty fellowship.
