About Alpha

Alexandria, VA: on-site position with relocation assistance available
$100,000 annually W2, weekly pay
Full-time: daily direct work with K-8 students

Teaching a student algebra is valuable. Teaching them they are capable of mastering algebra independently is transformative. If this difference resonates with you—if you have observed traditional education systems stifle the natural curiosity of bright students and believed a superior approach exists—this role warrants your attention.

Alpha operates as a private school that has fundamentally redesigned traditional education. Academic learning occurs through adaptive software that allows students to advance at their own speed, often progressing up to 2x faster than conventional classroom peers. Software alone, however, cannot develop resilience. It cannot prepare a reserved 7-year-old to confidently present before an audience. That responsibility falls to you.

This position is not a casual mentorship opportunity. You will monitor concrete metrics: each student meeting academic benchmarks, demonstrating mastery on life skills assessments, and providing satisfaction ratings of 90% or higher. The students offering the greatest resistance often require your support most urgently, and transforming a hesitant child into an engaged, motivated learner represents both the most challenging and most fulfilling aspect of this work.

If constructing something meaningful through daily execution appeals to you more than awaiting hierarchical promotion, this opportunity provides that foundation.
