About the role
Austin, TX: on-site role, with relocation assistance available
$100,000/year W2, with weekly pay
Full-time: daily direct engagement with K-8 students
Responsibilities
- Facilitating one-hour life skills workshops for K-8 student groups, guiding public speaking, teamwork, focus, and feedback skills through structured exercises and narrative techniques
- Conducting 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions, establishing objectives with students, monitoring their academic app progress, and stepping in when performance lags
- Adjusting your approach across diverse age groups: coaching strategies for a kindergartner differ drastically from those for a 13-year-old
- Delivering Test2Pass assessments to verify students have genuinely mastered the life skills you have coached
- Leveraging student profiles, performance data, and coachbot analytics to maintain precise awareness of each student's status before every interaction
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any subject
- 3+ years of experience working directly with K-8 students
- Demonstrated success motivating or coaching K-8 students toward objectives exceeding baseline standards, with at least one concrete example you can describe in detail (the objective, your actions, the result)
- Willing to work in-person in Austin, TX (relocation support provided)
- Comfortable operating in a non-traditional learning environment centered on motivation and engagement, not traditional instruction

Skills
- Experience mentoring or coaching in youth sports, competitive academic settings, or organized enrichment programs
- Familiarity with behavioral motivation methods such as goal-setting frameworks, reward systems, or accountability mechanisms
- Proven ability to connect with disengaged or resistant young learners and facilitate meaningful turnarounds
- Experience leading group sessions for children of varying ages

Working with us
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
