Academic Advisor (TEMPORARY - part-time 17.5 hrs/wk)
Join our team in supporting undergraduate students in the College of Life Sciences as they pursue their academic, career, and personal goals. The Academic Advisor provides personalized, holistic advising, builds meaningful relationships with students, and collaborates with faculty, staff, and campus partners to create a welcoming, student-centered environment where every student can thrive.
- Provide holistic academic, career, and personal advising to undergraduate students
- Partner with students to develop graduation plans and achieve their educational goals
- Empower students to make informed decisions and overcome academic challenges
- Conduct proactive outreach to support student success
- Document advising interactions and student progress using university systems
- Support office initiatives, special projects, and continuous process improvement
- Participate in professional development and staff training
- Maintain current knowledge of curricula, graduation requirements, university policies, and campus resources
What You’ll Do In This Position

Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred: Experience in academic advisement

Typical Starting Pay
$28.25 to $36.25 an hour
