About the role
The Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame seeks an Academic Advisor to guide and support undergraduate students through their transformative four-year journey. This role involves holistic student mentorship, academic navigation, and special projects.
Responsibilities
- Guide up to 225 primary majors through track selection, research opportunities, capstone pathways, study abroad experiences, and post-graduate planning.
- Navigate complex university policies and help students manage academic crises.
- Connect students with key campus support networks.
- Lead tailored initiatives aligned with unique strengths.
- Partner with the broader Notre Dame Advising Network and participate in major university recruitment events.
- Engage in national professional development through NACADA.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or advanced certification beyond Bachelor’s.
- Experience: 1 to 2 years.
- Skills: Ability to guide students in developing and pursuing a coherent curriculum, knowledge of FERPA, exceptional organizational skills, ability to manage multiple processes, and experience with international students.
Benefits
Up to $70,000, commensurate with experience.
