This position opening is for an individual to serve, as both, a part-time Academic Administrator (50%) and part-time Adjunct Professor (50%) position. Each position description is detailed below.

- UNIVERSITY AND PUBLIC SERVICE (5%)
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree in nutrition or closely related field, with expertise in Maternal and Child Nutrition
- International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification
- Post-doctoral experience preferred
- RD preferred
- Evidence of teaching, leadership, and administrative skills relevant to the independent management and direction of a graduate degree program and a lactation research and outreach center; ability to maintain a successful research, teaching, and outreach program in the discipline of Maternal and Child Nutrition
- Evidence of scholarship during graduate and post-graduate activities
- Demonstrated ability or potential to obtain extramural support for research activities
- Interest, understanding, and commitment to contributing to diversity
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to diversity and inclusion of groups that are underrepresented in the academy through education, research, and/or service would be a plus
- Demonstrated ability or potential to develop and instruct graduate courses and to present information to scientific audiences
- Demonstrated ability or potential and interest to mentor and advise M.S. students
- Evidence of communication skills and collegiality consistent with effective departmental, campus and professional citizenship
