AC2 – Esophageal Diagnostic Procedural Lab (Motility) – Level 2

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of leadership, provides competent direct patient care based on established standards.
• Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level.
• Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons and APPs in a fast-paced procedural environment that includes EGD, bronchoscopy, ablations, stent placement, pigtail placement, and thoracentesis.
• Requires nursing experience with outpatient and/or surgical patient populations.
• Essential for success are strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team, and compassion in providing quality care.
• Procedural sedation experience is preferred.
• American College of Critical Care Medicine (ACLM) certification is required or must be obtained within 12 months of starting.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.
• At least one year of recent clinical experience in an ambulatory setting or surgery.
• Experience with procedural sedation is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
• Completion of a BSN program or currently enrolled in a BSN program.

• Procedural sedation experience.

Pay

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
