Surgical Education Laboratory Technician I - MOC2

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and staging cadaver laboratory stations.
  • Moving and positioning cadaver specimens in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Setting up and organizing surgical instrument trays, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintaining laboratory readiness throughout training courses.
  • Restocking consumable supplies and supporting laboratory workflow.
  • Aiding with laboratory cleanup, equipment decontamination, and course breakdown.
  • Organizing inventory and preparing supplies/equipment for future training courses.
  • Supporting compliance with laboratory safety, infection control, and biohazard procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience: Associate's Degree required, medical lab focus preferred. Minimum of 0-2 years' experience required.
  • Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Knowledge of basic laboratory equipment and supplies. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 Public Trust background check.
  • Physical Capabilities: Lifting: Requires lifting materials over 90+ lbs. Ability to stand or sit at a Laboratory for prolonged periods. Ability to climb, pull, and lift heavy objects.
