Surgical Tech II

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Required to complete a Surgical Tech program and Surgical Technologist Certification with a minimum of 3 years working in a Surgical Tech role OR minimum 5 years working in a Surgical Tech role.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Surgical Technologist role if certified. Minimum of 5 years in Surgical Technologist role if not certified.
• Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS) Surgical Technologist Certification or 5 years or more in a Surgical Technologist role.
• Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Requirements

• Requires intra-operative orientation to learn department/unit policies, procedures and work routines.
• To develop competency in the use of medical equipment and instruments used in the operating room.
• To learn quality/safety standards.
• To gain an understanding of the various types of surgical procedures within their service line.

Pay

Expected pay for this position is $27.26 - $32.06/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity.
