Surgical Tech II

About the role

Performs specialized technical duties in a surgical or procedural setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. Assists the surgical team by preparing and handling equipment and instrumentation, ensuring a safe and properly equipped operating room environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; Completion of an accredited Surgical Tech program
• Experience: Preferred: One year of experience as a Surgical Tech
• Certification/Licensure: Must hold one of the following:
  • Surgical Technician Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
  • Surgical Technician Certification by the National Center for Competency Testing
  • United States Military or U.S. Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, to be obtained within ninety days of hire
