Surgical Tech II

About the role

Performs specialized technical duties in surgical or procedural settings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and/or Physician. Assists the surgical team by handling equipment and instrumentation to maintain a safe operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent, and completion of an accredited Surgical Technician program.
• Preferred: One year of experience as a Surgical Technician.
• Required certifications include Surgical Technician Certification by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing, or completion of a U.S. Military or Public Health Service Surgical Technology Program (only one needed).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, to be obtained within ninety days of start date.
