Job Description

The Motility Technician II is responsible for on-call pager, training employees across the system in this role, hosting/train observers, providing patient education, collaborating with physicians/care teams on patient care and appropriate orders, responsible for all analysis and reports associated with their patients, assisting with clinical research studies, working with internal and external resources to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, developing and maintaining relationships with product and service representatives from multiple medical equipment vendors, training and standardizing Motility Technicians and RNs at all NM sites, responsible for observer-ships through outside NM facilities (London Clinic, Advocate, etc.), patient and staff education, including creation of all resources, for pre and post procedure, collaborating with physicians and staff to review and advise patient care and appropriate orders, and supporting additional projects, performing administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent BLSSGNA Associates Education Training Program (within six months of hire)
  • Preferred: 2 years of healthcare experience or within a similar role
  • Trans-natal intubation

Sign-on Bonus Eligibility

Internal employees and rehires who left Northwestern Medicine within 1 year are not eligible for the sign on bonus. Exception: New graduate internal employees seeking their first licensed clinical position at NM may be eligible depending upon the job family.
