At Enbridge, safety, reliability, and operational excellence are at the core of everything we do. As a Multi Technician HVAC, you will play a critical role in maintaining and supporting HVAC and refrigeration systems that help keep our terminal facilities operating safely and efficiently.

About the role

Working in a dynamic industrial environment, you will perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities on mission-critical systems that support control rooms, electrical buildings, communication shelters, offices, and operational facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial and industrial HVAC/R equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including rooftop units, split systems, package units, heat pumps, exhaust systems, chillers and other refrigeration equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to minimize operational downtime and improve equipment reliability.
  • Install, replace, and commission HVAC equipment and components including motors, compressors, fans, thermostats, and related systems.
  • Perform refrigerant recovery, charging, leak detection, and related activities in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize CMMS systems to document maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders while maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Electrical, and Instrumentation teams while participating in emergency response and after-hours callout rotations as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of commercial or industrial HVAC maintenance experience.
  • EPA Section 608 Universal Certification.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required terminal security credentials (TWIC).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational training in HVAC/R.
  • Experience supporting petroleum terminals, pipelines, refineries, chemical plants, or other industrial facilities.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems.
  • Experience using CMMS platforms such as Maximo, eMaint, or similar systems.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Experience working in hazardous Class I, Division 1 or Division 2 environments.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with VFDs, programmable thermostats, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work practices.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a 24/7 industrial terminal environment supporting critical operational infrastructure.
  • Perform duties both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, humidity, and dust.
  • Exposure to rotating equipment, vibration, noise, and petroleum products.
  • Participation in overtime, weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as business needs require.
  • Safety-sensitive position requiring compliance with company drug and alcohol policies.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including flame-resistant clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe boots.
  • Working in confined or elevated spaces as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Grasping, kneeling, light–moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing.
  • Visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print).
  • Hearing requirement.
  • Ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
  • Understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions.
  • Organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis.
  • Make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area.
  • Understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
  • Complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda, and basic reports.
  • Communicate with individuals via telephone.

Pay

Ranges from $32.50 – $44.00 hourly/USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity.
