Job Responsibilities

  • Performs routine set up, operation, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of highly complex/automated manufacturing equipment.
  • Controls and adjusts machine settings.
  • Responsible for production, quality, downtime and waste levels of machine operation.
  • Performs mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance (including preventive) repairs, adjustments, inspection and monitoring of production and/or facilities related equipment and machinery.
  • Uses judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve in performance of all maintenance tasks.
  • Prioritizes daily work assignments to meet production needs and department goals.
  • Supports installation and removal of equipment, and performance of required corrective maintenance.
  • Monitors the production lines and proactively evaluates equipment performance for repairs and continuous improvement.
  • Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude to complete changeover of equipment and some operator level preventive maintenance.
  • Affords assistance with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions.
  • Checks work using prescribed gauges, jig and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
  • Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety and maintenance documents.
  • Shift: 2nd Shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED and 2 years relevant experience required.
  • Relevant Fields: Electrical / Electronics Technician, Electromechanical Technician, Mechanical Engineering Technician, Industrial Programmer, Electrician, Machine Builder / Repairer, Machinist, Refrigeration Mechanic, Welding Repairer.
  • Knowledge/Basic Skills: Time management skills required to ensure all tasks are completed without delay, Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to work with various teams, Mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills, must analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery, Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics, Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams and equipment specifications, Flexible and adaptable in working with/on a variety of equipment, processes, projects or assignments, Understanding and use of trades mathematics, calibration techniques, and precision measuring instruments essential, Constant mental and visual attention performing moderately complex work requiring close limits of accuracy and tolerances.
  • Additional Experience: PREFERRED Troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems (instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, vfd, servo etc.), Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems, Mechanical design (AutoCad, Solidworks, etc.), SAP maintenance module or equivalent computerized system (welding).
