AAA - Tow Truck Driver

Join a culture of people helping people. As a Tow Truck Driver (Roadside Hero) at AAA Mountain West Group, you’ll be the face of AAA when members are stranded, stressed, or having their worst day. We provide all the training you need to build a successful, secure career—no prior towing experience required.

Schedule

Start times range from 4:00 PM – Midnight, including weekends.

Pay

• Starting pay: $22.75/hour
• Shift differentials: earn an extra $0.75 to $1.50 more per hour depending on hours and days worked
• Productivity incentives: earn up to an additional $1,900 extra per month
• Guaranteed hours: minimum of 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently
• Perform simple vehicle diagnostics to determine issues
• Provide essential roadside assistance, including tire changes, fuel delivery, and vehicle lock-outs
• Build trust, problem-solve, and be a calming presence for members on the scene
• Communicate clearly and proficiently, even under pressure
• Demonstrate problem-solving and listening skills to evaluate member safety and respond appropriately
• Drive manual and automatic shift vehicles

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Customer-first mindset and passion for helping people
• Willingness and flexibility to work 4:00 PM – Midnight, including weekends
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, and stoop as required for service calls
• Work outdoors in all weather and traffic conditions; vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy, and hazardous
• Provide a photograph for identification purposes
