Responsibilities
- Communicates with vendors and outside business partners regarding new equipment.
- Troubleshoots broken or damaged respiratory equipment and assists in managing rental equipment.
- P practices standard precautions and enforces safety regulations according to hospital policies.
- Documents and charges for procedures accurately and completely.
- Demonstrates respect for co-workers and develops positive working relationships with other departments.
- Demonstrates appropriate and courteous phone etiquette and responds promptly to multiple departments regarding respiratory supplies and medical gas issues.
- Completes any mandatory educational requirements.
- Manages and distributes medical gas cylinders, including inventory and cylinder transport to all patient care areas.
- Sets up ventilator and critical care Bi-level breathing machines, including routine operational system checks.
- Directs supply-chain management for stocking and inventory of respiratory therapy department supplies.
- Makes daily rounds to deliver, check, change, and set up equipment.
- Stocks respiratory and medical gas supply equipment in all patient areas.
- Ensures Infection Control.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions effectively.
- Disassemble, clean, reassemble and test respiratory equipment.
- Working knowledge of and ability to use computer and perform data entry.
- Ensure Infection Control.
- Education: High School Grad or Equiv or equivalent Student enrolled in a 2 yr Accredited Respiratory Care Program.
- Field Of Study education or equivalent.
- Work Experience: Previous hospital materials management [Preferred].

- Knowledge of and ability to use computer and perform data entry.
