A/V Technician III
Summary
The MIL Corporation is seeking an A/V Technician III to support AV/Video Teleconferencing (VTC) projects for government customers from their Lexington Park, MD location. The position is currently unfunded but posted to identify qualified candidates.
Responsibilities
- Builds AV racks based on drawings provided by the engineering team
- Leads on-site integration and installation
- Lables communications infrastructure including cable, panels, patch cords and electronics
- Installation and mounting of equipment, such as monitors, speakers, and microphones, to ceilings and walls in secure spaces
- Facilitates fabrication, termination, and installation of AV cabling
- Tests, commissions, and troubleshoots various AV systems
- Trains and troubleshoots existing AV systems
- Performs inventory management and records configuration information on installed equipment and software modules
- Candidates must be willing and able to travel CONUS and OCONUS sites up to three weeks at a time. Total travel is approximately 30%
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience performing testing and/or integration of audio visual (A/V) equipment
- Ability to follow basic flow diagrams
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good verbal and written communications abilities
- Experience using MS Office products
- Must be able to lift items up to National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) limits
- Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
- Must be able to work in high places, as well as small, cramped, or confined spaces
- Maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Maintain a valid passport
Qualifications
- J-STD Certification(s) preferred
- Experience with testing fiber and/or copper AV certifications a plus
Desired Qualifications
- Current Secret or above security clearance
Benefits
This position is currently unfunded and is being posted in anticipation of a future contract award and funding approval. Any hiring decisions will be contingent upon funding availability and final program requirements or client approval.
Pay
The SCA (Service Contract Act) role at The MIL Corporation is subject to the regulations and guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor. As an SCA position, it is classified as a service contract and is subject to specific wage determinations and benefit requirements mandated by the government. The compensation and benefits for the SCA role at The MIL Corporation will be in accordance with the prevailing wage rates and benefits specified by the Department of Labor for the specific job classification and location. The current rate is $28.79 - $33.11 per hour. Final salary for this position is determined based on factors such as individual qualifications, education, experience, and contractual limitations.

Schedule
This position is currently on-site with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). The schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
