About the Role

In this Technician role, you will handle mold changes, preventive maintenance (PM), and service work while supporting the processing and troubleshooting of all Blow Molding, Injection Molding, and Support Machines. You will contribute to process improvement and new technology initiatives to meet profitability, safety, and ergonomic goals. Additionally, you will assist the Chief Engineer and Management team with other assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Adhere to instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and housekeeping procedures.
  • Start up and shut down machines.
  • Clean and service machines, including changing molds and setting up production equipment.
  • Set up and service peripheral equipment.
  • Clean and service molds and machine parts; replace and repair parts as needed.
  • Assist in installing machines and support Process/Maintenance Technicians.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with Blow Molding/Injection Molding machines is desired.
  • Technical training in the Blow/Injection Molding Process is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating and adjusting machines.

Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in following verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong English skills in reading, writing, and communication.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment.
  • Commitment to the success of the entire organization.
  • Mechanical abilities are a plus.
  • Understanding of OSHA safety rules/regulations and Lock-out/Tag-out requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain forklift certification within 60 days.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 85 lbs.
  • Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crawl.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
  • Ability to reach up to 7’ (84”).

The work environment is in a warehouse with temperatures varying between hot and cold based on outside conditions. The pace of work is fast.
