The First Financial Center is located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, within blocks of top-rated restaurants, bars, pro-sports venues, and attractions. The center recently completed a $264M reimagination and features a 40,000 sq. ft. grand ballroom, 200,000 sq. ft. of exhibit space, and 30 deluxe meeting rooms.

About the role

As the A/R Accounting Coordinator at First Financial Center, you will play a key role in the daily functions of the Finance Department. You will support A/R processing, general accounting functions, journal entries, monthly/year-end close processing, and other tasks as needed. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager and assists with projects as required.

Responsibilities

  • Support journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
  • Prepare and deliver bank deposits as required.
  • Complete assigned sections of the monthly close by the specified deadline.
  • Input journal entries into the financial reporting computer system.
  • Accurately input cash receipts into Sage 50 and Momentus daily.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding accounts receivable activity.
  • Ensure invoices are generated, sent to customers, and collected per contract.
  • Maintain proper documentation, support audits, and adhere to company policies, GAAP standards, and relevant regulations.
  • Act as a backup for the A/P Accounting Coordinator as necessary.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or two years of equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours as needed.
  • Professional attitude and appearance.

Skills

  • Proficiency with standard office equipment, Windows, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word.
  • Experience with Sage 50 or equivalent software; Momentus Enterprise and/or Microsoft D365 a plus.
  • Excellent math skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to make original or adjusting entries to financial transactions.
  • Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and produce accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff, management, vendors, and clients.
  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
