About the role

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Florida International University invites applications for one open-rank teaching position which will be based primarily at the Modesto Maidique Campus. This is a 9-month, non-tenure track position starting August 2026.

Open-rank Teaching Faculty in the Department of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Masters degree plus 4-6 teaching experience; degree and experience must be in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
  • A minimum of 18 graduate credits in Mathematics is required to be certified to teach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or training in using evidence-based active learning-focused classroom practices
  • Demonstrated experience in first-year mathematics courses at the university level.
