Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to discuss outstanding balances and establish payment arrangements while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Conduct detailed reviews of customer accounts, including payment histories, credits, invoices, deductions, and unapplied cash transactions.
- Investigate account discrepancies such as short payments, duplicate payments, disputed balances, missing remittances, and credit balances to determine appropriate resolution.
- Analyze account activity to verify the accuracy of credits, identify payment application issues, and reconcile account balances.
- Research and resolve account issues by collaborating with customers, internal departments, and team members.
- Maintain accurate account documentation and records of collection efforts, disputes, and resolutions.
- Identify trends and recurring account issues and provide recommendations to improve collection effectiveness and account accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service while navigating sensitive financial discussions and maintaining positive customer relationships.
- Support overall collections objectives by balancing collections activities with thorough account analysis and issue resolution.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and cross-functional departments to research account issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Escalate complex account situations as appropriate and provide clear, concise updates to management regarding account status, risks, and collection efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing, payment application, credit, and account reconciliation issues.
Qualifications
- Proven collections experience with the ability to effectively manage delinquent accounts and collection efforts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate payment activity and reconcile account discrepancies.
- Experience reviewing customer account histories, credits, deductions, and payment transactions.
- Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree is a plus but not required.
- Proficiency in English (C1/C2 level) is required for clear and effective communication.
- Must have a private workspace with stable and reliable internet access.
