About the role

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them with daily activities and ensuring they are safe and comfortable.

Responsibilities

• Supporting with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and other personal care tasks.
• Aiding individuals to their medical appointments, banking, and community activities.
• Administering medications as per Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
• Evacuating individuals from the home in case of emergencies.
• Maintaining certifications and following agency policies and DDS regulations.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals.
• Knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform essential job functions.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules including holidays, overnights, or double shifts.

Pay

$17.50-19.00 per hour, with a paid training program.

Schedule

Thursdays: 2p-11p, Fridays: 2p-10p, Saturdays: 2p-10p (Part-time: 25 hours)
