6017-07 Direct Support Professional

This open position is in a highly behavioral residential home setting. We are seeking candidates with experience working with behavioral individuals.

Schedule

• Sun 3pm-9am
• Fri & Sat 10pm-9am
• Part Time: 40 Hours

Pay

• Salary: $17.50 - $19 (Paid Training!)
• Sign On Bonus: $1000 for Full Time and $500 for Part Time employees

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc.
• Assist individuals to medical appointments, banking, and community activities.
• Attend outings and administer medications.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, goals, and medical guidelines.
• Safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency.
• Maintain certifications and handle job-related duties in compliance with Agency policies and DDS regulations.

• Program and person-specific training at the individuals’ home

Requirements

• 21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals
• Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, overnights, or double-shifts
