Direct Support Professional

About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Wichita, KS. The Direct Support Professional supports individuals with disabilities in daily living activities, community participation, and skill-building to promote independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care routines, transportation, and daily schedules.
- Coach individuals in social, vocational, and life skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized support plans.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to ensure safe, respectful, and person-centered services.
- Help implement training activities and provide emotional support that encourages self-advocacy and community inclusion.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Human Services, with experience or interest in supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including clear, respectful, and professional interactions.
- Knowledge of intellectual disabilities and person-centered support approaches, or willingness to learn.
- Reliability in following care plans, documenting services, and adhering to agency policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to work on-site in Wichita, KS, including possible evening or weekend shifts as needed.
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and dependable transportation to and from work.
