Direct Support Professional
About the role
Traditional Home Care is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one-on-one, non-medical support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, etc.
Job duties
- Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
- Companionship
- Appropriate communication/social skills
- Light housekeeping and chores
- Ensuring a safe environment and teaching basic safety skills
- Meeting individual goals and outcomes
- Promoting community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Mobile device & EVV requirements
This position is in compliance with the 21st Century Cures Act, which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) for home care / home health services. As part of this, you will be required to use a mobile device to log visits and track service hours. Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets if not provided and must have reliable internet access to meet these requirements.
