About the role
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and assisting with medical appointments, banking, community activities, medication administration, following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Advocate and support individuals with disabilities to be active in their lives.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and more.
- Absentee support including attending medical appointments, banking, community outings, and administering medications.
- Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and medical guidelines.
- Safely evacuate individuals from the home in case of emergencies.
- Maintain certifications and comply with agency policies and DDS regulations.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform essential functions of the job.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the program and individuals supported.

Pay
$17.50 - $19.00 per hour, with paid training.
Schedule
Sun-Mon 9a-3p, Wed 9a-3p, Fri 9a-3p (Part-time: 24 hours)
