The Assistant Principal

• Assists the principal in developing caring learners through the administrative operations of the school.
• Provides instructional leadership, individual guidance, and school-wide facilitation of improving instructional effectiveness leading to increased student achievement.
• Affords assistance in the supervision of staff in the school, overseeing professional development activities and district curricular programs.
• Works effectively with community and parent patrons, building care, student activities, student discipline, and the development of school policies and procedures to ensure compliance with District, State, and Federal educational policies.

Counselor

• Advocates for students and provides and assesses interventions to ensure student success and promote an exemplary educational program which fosters achievement for all students.
• Provides assistance to children in making educational, occupational, and life plans that increase the probability of students becoming mature and responsible decision-makers who enjoy a high degree of personal fulfillment.
• Offers direct and indirect counseling services to children who are exhibiting symptoms of social, emotional, and/or academic difficulties that interfere with their academic or social progress.
• Maintains good relationships with community members and coworkers.
