About the role

CareGivers is a Certified Home Health Care Agency in Erie, PA with openings for Personal Care Aides. The agency offers flexible scheduling based on your availability and strives to create a schedule that works for you. The position is located in the upper Greengarden area of Erie, PA, serving clients in their homes. CareGivers operates 12 branches across Upstate New York and Western Pennsylvania, providing quality, compassionate home care for over 50 years, and seeks positive, skilled professionals to join its growing team.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to help clients feel clean and refreshed
• Learn new recipes and prepare meals
• Tidy clients’ homes to maintain a healthy environment
• Ensure clients follow their medication schedule
• Provide additional care as needed to keep clients safe

Requirements

• One year of equivalent experience in personal care or caregiving
• Caring, dependable, and able to meet health requirements
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license (mileage paid for shopping/errands)
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Qualifications

• Completion of a personal care aide training program
• Experience working as a caregiver
• Currently enrolled in nursing school
• Background as a nurse tech or medic
• Any other experience caring for others
