Responsibilities

• Make boxes
• Inspect cans or boxes prior to packing, checking if label is placed correctly and if label and carton match (when applicable)
• Add plastic lids to the plastic lid application (when applicable)
• Tape and palletize finished product
• Add metal ends to can seamer if necessary (when applicable)
• Operate can depalletizer if necessary (when applicable)
• Add stickers to the cases as order production order requires (when applicable)
• Perform any activity required by the operator, production lead or the production supervisor
• Carry out all activities related to security and quality of the product
• Comply with and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

Qualifications

• Basic math, reading skills, good communication skills (written and oral)
• Able to work rotating shifts
• Able to work with very little notice upon business needs
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Self-learner and ability to multi-task
• Basic computer knowledge
• Able to cross-train in other positions, including departments

Physical Requirements

• Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. and 50 lbs. with assistance
• Able to stand, walk, work in an environment where stooping, twisting and bending are frequent (up to 10 hrs.)
