About the role
We are seeking a dynamic, highly driven, and experienced Wage & Hour Litigation Associate to join our team for a permanent 4-year position. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that offers a platform for professional growth and development. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of employment laws, drafting/revising handbooks, and the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act. This role will be instrumental in strengthening our Labor and Employment, Wage and Hour Litigation team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee wage and hour litigation cases, representing clients in both state and federal court
- Advise clients on compliance with the Colorado Wage Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and other federal and state labor laws
- Draft, revise, and implement employee handbooks, policies, and procedures ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations
- Provide counsel and guidance on labor and employment issues to internal teams and clients
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide strategic advice to clients
- Prepare and present comprehensive, clear, and concise legal reports and recommendations
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division regulations, rules, and interpretative guidance materials
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school
- Admission to the Colorado Bar
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in wage and hour litigation
- Proven experience with employment laws, drafting/revising handbooks, Labor and Employment, Wage and Hour Litigation team
- Familiarity with the Colorado Wage Act and Fair Labor Standards Act
- Experience interpreting Colorado Department of Labor and Employment and U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division regulations, rules, and interpretative guidance materials
- Excellent academic credentials
