4-H Upson County AmeriCorps Member, Part-time

Duties/Responsibilities

• Facilitate/teach 4-H in-school club meetings
• Prepare students for 4-H Project Achievement
• Attend 4-H Summer Camp
• Design and implement community service projects
• Assist with other 4-H base programming
• Provide transportation to youth (some programming may be virtual)

Support and Leadership

• Recruit, screen, train, and engage volunteers
• Assist with coordinating the county volunteer registration database
• Recruit at least 3 new volunteers during service

Data Management

• Track and document data related to AmeriCorps Grant performance measures
• Complete monthly reports
• Administer surveys to youth
• Enter data into provided spreadsheets

Professional Development

• Attend local, district, and state program activities and events
• Attend district and state-wide trainings, including the AmeriCorps New Service Year Orientation
• Participate in monthly webinars

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• U.S. citizenship with proof of citizenship

Physical Demands

• Driving
• Light lifting
• Occasional work outdoors in adverse climate
