About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 4-H positive youth development programming directly to youth, including facilitating/teaching 4-H in-school club meetings; preparing students for 4-H Project Achievement; attending 4-H Summer Camp; designing and implementing community service projects; and assisting with other 4-H base programming.
  • Support and provide leadership to the county 4-H Volunteer program: recruit, screen, train, and engage volunteers. Assist with coordinating the county volunteer registration database.
  • Track and document data related to the AmeriCorps performance measures and complete monthly reports, supported by the AmeriCorps State Program Coordinator. Administer surveys to youth and enter data into provided spreadsheets.
  • Attend local, district, and state program activities and events alongside 4-H County Extension Coordinator. Attend district and state-wide trainings, including the AmeriCorps New Service Year Orientation (October 6-7, 2027 at Rock Eagle 4-H Center).

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience in program planning, delivery of youth development programs, and a basic knowledge of 4-H is preferred.
  • Service-minded individuals are encouraged to apply.

  • Independent judgment and a passion for service.

The anticipated salary is $2075 monthly stipend.
