3rd shift, Welder Coordinator, Axle Bogie East Line - North Plant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist the Dept. Supervisor in meeting production goals as outlined by the Supervisor.
• Manage production flow and direct team members.
• Adhere to and enforce Wabash safety requirements.
• Perform a variety of duties and team member support requiring knowledge of techniques, quality requirements, equipment, Engineering Prints, and safety precautions.
• In the event of employee absences, weld assemblies to help maintain production schedule.
• Ensure work is performed at a quality level consistent with Wabash standard practice.

Qualifications

• Above average written and verbal communication skills.
• A high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
• Good people skills required.
• Ability to learn and use required computer applications.
• Possess math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Pass Wabash Weld Test Qualification and/or any site-specific required Weld Certification Tests.
• Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience: Experience and education are great to come into this position with. However, it’s not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Welding Coordinator position.
