About The Role
Parts produced are typically small and fragile electronics-based components, thin alumina ceramics, thin metals such as stainless steel, titanium, and copper, and some plastics.
Responsibilities
- Operate CNC laser machining equipment
- Load parts and set offsets
- Perform simple program edits
- Deburr and inspect finished parts
- Read and interpret drawings/specifications
- Measure and mark dimensions
- Monitor machine performance and report issues
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Perform basic preventative maintenance
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineering, quality, and production teams
- Assist with equipment startup/shutdown once trained
Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Setup, offsets, changeovers, and simple program editing experience highly desirable
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales
- Ability to read blueprints/drawings and understand shop math
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Excellent visual inspection skills for small features/components
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- English communication skills required (written and verbal)
- Ability to adapt in a fast-changing production environment
- Willingness to train on 1st shift if needed
Skills
- CNC milling experience (HAAS, Fadal, Mitsubishi, etc.) encouraged to apply
- Must be able to transfer machining skills to 2-axis laser machining centers using Aerotech controllers
Pay
$19.00 - $20.00/hr + $0.50 Shift Differential
Schedule
Monday @ Midnight through Saturday @ 8:30 AM. Possible overtime available. Shift flexibility is a plus. Prompt and regular attendance is required.
