3rd Shift Operator (12PM-8AM)

About the role

MELDS LLC is a plastics recycling and extrusion company dedicated to producing high-quality post-industrial recycled polypropylene for injection molding applications. We invest in advanced technologies and team development to support long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Operate the densifier unit safely and efficiently
• Feed fiber material into the designated machine opening
• Maintain efficiency to the approved standard
• Inspect items and sort by visual inspections to ensure they are defect free
• Prep product via deburring and cleaning to meet product standards
• Inspect and pack product in accordance with the standard
• Maintain work area and equipment by cleaning, organizing, and keeping it in order
• Provide accurate production reporting and scrap counts at the end of the shift
• Communicate with previous shifts to receive important job information
• Communicate with Team Leaders and supervisors when there are issues
• Complete other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate required
• Ability to perform repetitive work in a fast-paced environment, including long periods of standing
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task
• Able to lift heavy boxes on a regular basis
• Able to work in a team environment

Schedule

3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 AM. Schedule may vary based on production needs. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.
