What Your Day Looks Like
The Mill Technician I is responsible for:
- Milling Operations: Grain testing, auto and manual truck probing, hand-adds, recording medication and vitamin usage.
- Animal Nutrition: Understanding how ingredients interact with milling and grinding processes.
- Housekeeping: Cleaning and performing routine housekeeping of the mill.
- Inventory Management: Maintaining bag inventories, stacking and ordering materials.
- Administrative Tasks: Completing required training, performing other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- Independent and able to follow instructions.
- Complies with Food Safety Standards and understands relevant regulations.
- Basic math skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Positive attitude and good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and adaptability.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Team player and follows policies and procedures.
- Physical capabilities: lifting, climbing, working in confined spaces, and dusty conditions.
- One year of experience in Level I for skill development.
