3rd Shift Material Handler
Join our Dodge Manufacturing facility in Greenville, SC as a 3rd shift Material Handler, working from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am Sunday through Thursday and every other Friday when required.
About the Role
For well over a century, the Dodge® line of bearings, gearing, and power transmission components has helped manufacturers across industries increase productivity and profitability. At our Greenville plant, we manufacture industrial speed reducers used in bulk material handling—such as aggregate, grain, water/wastewater treatment, quarries, concrete and asphalt plants, mines, theme parks, airports, power plants, warehouses (e.g., Walmart, Amazon), and food and beverage processing.
This position reports directly to a Production Supervisor and requires obtaining Powered Truck certification.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot returned/damaged material
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
- Ensure shipments match customer orders and determine the best packaging option
- Maintain good housekeeping in shipping/receiving areas
- Learn multiple processes and fill in where needed
- Process daily shipments and verify accuracy of receipts against purchase orders
- Identify and report shortages, damaged goods, or other discrepancies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math and communication skills
- Computer and keyboard proficiency in a Windows environment
- Powered truck certification (required)
Physical Requirements
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- Close vision and depth perception
- Routinely reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger objects
- Frequently stand and walk
Pay
Starting pay is $23.15 per hour with a 5% shift differential. Through progression reviews and pay increases at 3, 6, and 12 months (based on performance), you can earn up to $27.10 per hour after one year.
Schedule
11:00 pm to 7:00 am, Sunday through Thursday, with every other Friday required as needed.
