3rd Shift Material Handler

About the role

A Material Handler performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies.

Responsibilities

• Executes foundational tasks within a warehouse environment including but not limited to: packaging, unpackaging, put away, sorting, staging, picking, shipping, and preparing units for production.
• Cut open boxed inventory in the storage area or on the rack.
• Place open boxes on the appropriate shelf of the flow rack.
• Walk the length of the flow rack.
• Wrap cords neatly and securely, ensuring they are tangle-free.
• Assist with labeling, tagging, or color-coding wrapped cords as needed for easy identification.
• Consistently meet or surpass daily production and quality goals.
• Complete required paperwork, forms, or digital records accurately and promptly for documentation purposes.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation.
• Follow warehouse safety regulations.
• Perform all other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basic computer ability.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair), or forward logistics operation.
• Ability to handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff.
• Clerical skills.
• Time-management skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Warehouse environment.
• Stand dynamically for long periods.
• Use hands and fingers to handle and/or feel; the ability to type, pick, pinch with fingers, seize, hold, grasp, or turn with hands.
• Lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Push and/or pull up to fifty (50) pounds.
• Reach up and out with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb stairs or ladders.

Pay

$16.94/hour + 10% Shift Differential = $18.63/hour

Schedule

3rd Shift: 11:30 PM - 8:00 AM, Monday - Friday
