3rd Shift Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists
• Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information
• Perform welding, fabrication and other duties as assigned by department manager
• Collaborate with other workers to repair or inspect machines, machine parts, and equipment
• Supports and perform all preventative maintenance programs
• Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance
• Communicate clearly and professionally to supervisors, associates, engineering support and contractors
• Takes initiative to identify potential electrical problems and implement preventative measures
• Adheres to all safety procedures to maintain and uphold a safe working environment
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment
• Supports and completes larger projects with teammates and outside contractors
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance
• Preferred experience in plastic injection molding
• Proficient in the use of all fabrication equipment such as brake, shear, lathe, drill press, Bridgeport mill, mig/tig/arc welders, Oxy-acetylene cutting and welding, plasma cutting, etc.
• Proficiency in understanding, installing, and maintaining electrical systems including wiring, circuits, breakers, and transformers

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 2-year technical school required or equivalent certifications
