3rd Shift Maintenance Crewleader

Essential Functions

• Schedule and assign personnel to meet the maintenance schedule, establish shift priorities based on the maintenance plan, and resolve processing issues during the shift.
• Monitor the workforce to ensure all procedures are being followed and tools are being used as designed. Discuss any deviations with the supervisor and work to improve them.
• Stop any unsafe conditions and foster a spirit of cooperation within the department.
• Achieve manufacturing goals by helping the supervisor to communicate job expectations to the team. Make recommendations to the supervisor on improving the processes.
• Aid the supervisor by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.
• Absorb the spare parts inventory by ensuring there is always an adequate number of spare parts on hand.
• Ensure the safe and proper operation of machinery by operators. Evaluate and issue maintenance work orders when necessary.
• Educate and direct personnel in the proper use of equipment and resources and maintain compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Oversee the department’s Preventive Maintenance Program (PM) by creating PMs for new equipment and generating monthly PMs, overseeing their completion.
• Organize and maintain the maintenance storage areas in the warehouse and develop an inventory log of all parts.
• Serve as the backup supervisor when needed.

Education and/or Experience

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 5 years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
