3rd Shift DC Automation & Maintenance Technician I ($27.00)
About the role
In this role, you’ll spend your day working with a team to keep the facility and equipment running smoothly—handling maintenance and repairs, responding to issues quickly, supporting projects across the building, and preventing problems before they happen. You’ll partner closely with IT, HR, Facilities, and Operations to solve problems and keep things on track.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility, grounds, building systems, equipment, and AutoStore system; monitor performance and respond to issues as they arise
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, generators, and other equipment) to keep operations running smoothly
- Maintain and coordinate required testing and service for Fire/Life Safety systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and standards
- Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the facility, including lighting, minor repairs, cleaning, and general upkeep of interior and exterior spaces
- Support day-to-day facility needs, including associate moves, equipment/furniture setup, spill cleanup, and general maintenance tasks
- Cook up with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and ongoing services (landscaping, janitorial, waste removal, etc.)
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe work areas, including storage, warehouse, and maintenance spaces; properly maintain and store tools and equipment
- Keep accurate maintenance records and documentation for building systems and equipment
- Identify, report, and address safety hazards, and follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
Requirements
You’ll need 2 years of experience in maintenance, automation, or a similar technical role. Prior warehouse, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience is preferred. Hands-on experience using tools to troubleshoot, repair, and resolve maintenance issues is required. Basic to intermediate computer skills, including the ability to use systems/software to track and manage work, are necessary. Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and accuracy is essential. Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment and strong work ethic with demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and integrity are required. A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on increasing efficiency and improving processes is important. Regular and reliable attendance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are necessary. Ability to work overtime including extended hours as needed based on business demands is expected. Commitment to following all safety policies and PPE requirements is mandatory.
