Utilities Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift **$1.00 Shift Differential**

Principal Duties

  • Daily On-Site Attendance.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all plant utility systems (boilers, compressors, chillers, HVAC, water and wastewater systems, etc.).
  • Monitor, inspect, and record equipment performance; identify issues before they cause downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Maintain and calibrate instrumentation, control systems, and sensors related to utilities equipment.
  • Aid with installation and commissioning of new utilities equipment or facility upgrades.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies, OSHA standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Support plant operations by responding promptly to maintenance calls and emergencies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Any other duties related to the job as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma and/or technical certification in Maintenance Program, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial utilities or plant maintenance (manufacturing environment strongly preferred).
  • Electrical background, including experience with low-voltage and industrial wiring and electrical maintenance.
  • Comfortable with hands-on field work—must be able to work in production areas, climb ladders, and use tools in real-time troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
