About the role

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the PCU with a focus on stable, high-acuity patients transitioning from ICU.
• Monitor and interpret EKGs, implement cardiac drips, and manage heparin and insulin drips.
• Utilize advanced equipment like bipaps, high-flow oxygen systems, and wound vacs to provide specialized care.
• Perform peritoneal dialysis and assist with complex procedures such as thoracentesis and chest tube insertions.
• Engage in hourly patient rounding during the day and bi-hourly rounding at night to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Accurately document patient information and care provided using the Meditech system.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of Wyoming or compact state licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.
• Proficient in EKG rhythm interpretation and managing cardiac and insulin drips.
• Experience with bipaps, high-flow oxygen systems, and stroke care preferred.
• Strong critical thinking ability and peripheral IV skills required.
• Background in post cardiac cath care and peritoneal dialysis experience preferred.
