2nd Shift_ Weld Technician_ Onsite

About the Role

Join our team as a skilled welder and play a crucial role in precision manufacturing! In this position, you will utilize advanced electron-beam welding techniques to join parts with exceptional accuracy. You'll also have the opportunity to apply your expertise across a range of welding methods to ensure the integrity and quality of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain necessary stock, fixtures, tooling, and gauging
  • Perform Weld Tech functions
  • Pre and post heat parts for weld operation
  • Apply coating during weld processes
  • Perform necessary polishing on lathe
  • Perform all weld preparation
  • Perform in-process inspection as a certified operator
  • Perform computer transactions
  • Move parts to, from, and within module
  • Clean machines
  • General housekeeping
  • Provide direction to Module Support Tech

Requirements

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably technical school background, and demonstration of basic educational competencies (reading, writing)
  • U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • MIG and/or TIG welding experience
  • Blueprint and routing reading and comprehension
  • Competency with hand tools and experience with weld equipment
  • Basic computer skills such as log on, data entry, and retrieval
  • Able to obtain certifications and qualifications required to perform the job

The hourly rate for this role is $29.03. Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
