Responsibilities
- Avoid a specific group of cells and focus on all aspects of welding robustness for the assigned area.
- Teach robots points for optimum mig weld robustness.
- Adjust weld fixtures to control end product dimensions and as well as mig weld gap/robustness.
- Develop preventative maintenance procedures related to weld fixtures and weld guns.
- Improve process robustness, uptime and cycle time by researching and improving weld consumables.
- Maintain shim adjustment logs for assigned area.
- Document and improve welding parameters.
- Provides input in evaluation of equipment and processes.
- Understand incoming part quality and its effect on mig weld/dimensional robustness.
- Performs other functions as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Prefer an associate’s degree in a technical field.
- Minimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with 3-5 years of experience in welding and welding techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to perform assignments requiring judgment and problem-solving skills relating to robotic mig-welding processes. Assist with set up and change over’s as it relates to mig welding.
