About the role

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and managing a team of warehouse personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise warehouse employees in housing product, selecting orders, and preparing for delivery.
• Monitor and improve warehouse productivity, quality, and cost control methods.
• Manage the work force to maximize efficiency and reduce operating expenses.
• Hire, train, develop, recognize, and evaluate the performance of warehouse personnel.
• Ensure adherence to company safety, sanitation, and operational standards.
• Conduct audits, train employees, and manage work-related injuries.
• Communicate daily goals, safety issues, and problem areas to the team.
• Oversee the resolution of employee complaints and grievances.
• Administer disciplinary actions as necessary.

Qualifications

• One to two years of supervisory experience and/or experience in a grocery warehouse setting.
• Ability to read, interpret documents, and write routine reports.
• Mathematical skills including the ability to calculate discounts, percentages, and volumes.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and follow instructions.
• Physical demands including standing, walking, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 100 pounds.
